🎹 Biography – Jia Li

Jia Li is a renowned international classical concert pianist, acclaimed for her poetic interpretations of the great classical repertoire and celebrated for an extensive global performing career. While firmly rooted in the traditions of classical piano performance, she also explores popular singing as a complementary artistic expression, bringing a fresh cross-genre dimension to her music.

Currently based in Rome, Italy, Jia Li is the President of the Music Around Cultural Association in Italy and serves as the Guest Concert Pianist of the Fujian Symphony Orchestra in China.

In February 2022, she was nominated by the United Nations Peace Foundation as an “International Peace Artist.” In the same year, commemorative stamps featuring Jia Li as an International Peace Artist were issued by Austria, Canada, the United Nations, and La Poste of France.

Her concert tours have taken her to China, Italy, Austria (Vienna), Spain, the United States, Switzerland, France, Mexico, and other countries. She has been invited to give solo piano recitals at world-renowned venues such as the Teatro Italia, the Konzerthaus Wien, and the Ehrbar Saal in Vienna. After her third appearance at the 145-year-old Ehrbar Saal for a solo piano recital, she was featured in a special interview by Vienna’s OKTO TV.

Jia Li has been invited to perform solo piano recitals at prestigious international festivals, including the Palermo Classical Music Festival, the Larius International Music Festival, the Sorrento International Music Festival, the Italian National Music Festival, and the Vienna Summer International Classical Music Festival, earning high acclaim from both audiences and critics.

In addition to her global concert career, Jia Li is dedicated to music education. She has been invited to serve as a masterclass instructor at the Italian National Music Festival and the Vienna Summer Classical Music Festival, nurturing a new generation of young musicians.

In September 2024, Jia Li embarked on a three-month concert tour that spanned Europe, Asia, and the Americas, starting from Rome. The tour included one concert in Rome, one in Palermo, five in Mexico, two in the United States, twelve in China, one in Vienna, and one in Naples. She returned to Rome on Christmas Day and gave her final concert of 2024 at the historic Teatro Marcello.

On July 2, 2024, Jia Li had the honor of performing live on the runway of the International Couture fashion show during Rome Fashion Week. Shortly thereafter, on July 5, she began a new solo recital and masterclass world tour themed “A Musical Journey Across Europe, Asia, and the Americas”, starting from Naples, Italy . The tour featured a cross-genre program that blended classical repertoire with popular music, further demonstrating her artistic versatility.

During her 2025 world tour, in August 2025, Jia Li appeared on the international cover of VERVE magazine and gave an exclusive interview.

Through her outstanding artistry, Jia Li has gained wide recognition in the international music community. She is a lifetime jury member of the Swiss International Music Competition and served as a jury member for the 21st Luigi Zanuccoli International Music Competition in Italy.

Jia Li has been featured in numerous leading publications, including Italy’s Red Carpet magazine, LIVE STYLE, MUSICA INTORNO, Agenzia Stampa, Wikitesti, Scrigno di Pandora, Il Mattino, Brainstorming Culturale, Mezzogiorno Editorni, as well as Spain’s Polimusica.

In 2023, her solo recital at the Italian National Music Festival’s Christmas Season drew immense acclaim. The festival’s president, Angelo Filippo Jannoni Sebastianini, praised her in an interview, saying:

“Pianist Jia Li is the absolute star of the 2023 Italian National Music Festival’s Christmas Season.”

This statement was widely quoted as a headline by many media outlets.

Jia Li graduated from the Conservatorio di Musica “Cesare Pollini” in Padua, Italy, where she studied under the renowned piano pedagogue Dario Marini. She also received guidance from the celebrated Italian pianist Cristiano Burato, recipient of the Italian Presidential Medal of Honor.

Throughout her career, Jia Li has won numerous international piano competition prizes, including the Franz Liszt International Piano Competition, the Moscow International Music Competition, and the Italian La Palma D’Oro International Piano Competition.
