🎹 Biography – Jia Li
Jia Li is a Chinese concert pianist with an international career, based in Rome, Italy. She is President of the Italian Music Around Cultural Association and Guest Pianist of the Fujian Symphony Orchestra (China).
On February 5, 2026, Jia Li received the Excellence Award at the Italian Parliament / City Hall of Rome, presented by international cultural institutions including the World Intercultural Organization (WIO), in recognition of her outstanding artistic achievements and contribution to international cultural exchange. Her career has taken her to major stages in China, Italy, Austria, Spain, the United States, Mexico, Switzerland, South Korea, and other countries.
She has presented solo recitals in prestigious venues such as Teatro Italia, the Wiener Konzerthaus, and Vienna’s historic Ehrbar Saal (three full solo recitals). After her third appearance in the 145-year-old Ehrbar Saal, she was interviewed by Vienna’s OKTO TV. She has also appeared at major international festivals including the Palermo Classica Music Festival (Italy), the Larius International Music Festival (Italy), the Sorrento International Music Festival (Italy), the Festival Musicale delle Nazioni (Italy), and the Vienna Summer International Festival, receiving critical praise for her expressive artistry and refined technique.
In addition to her classical piano career, Jia Li is also a musical theatre actress and crossover singer, participating in interdisciplinary stage projects that combine piano, singing, and contemporary performing arts.
Deeply committed to music education, Jia Li has given masterclasses at the Festival Musicale delle Nazioni and the Vienna Summer Classical Music Festival, and has been invited to teach at conservatories and cultural institutions in Europe and China. She has also been invited on multiple occasions to collaborate with important Viennese musical institutions, particularly the Vienna Beethoven Conservatory, where she has given masterclasses and solo recitals, maintaining an ongoing artistic partnership with the academy.
In September 2024 she undertook a three-month concert tour across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, performing in Rome, Palermo, five cities in Mexico, two cities in the United States, twelve cities in China, Vienna, and Naples, ending the year with a concert at Rome’s historic Teatro Marcello.
In 2025 she launched her world solo tour from Naples, Italy. On December 31, 2025, she completed a major stage of the tour at the New Year Concert in Sorrento, Italy, performing Chopin’s Grande Polonaise brillante with the Naples Symphony Orchestra.
On February 8, 2026, she was invited as a jury member of the Seoul Central International Music Competition in South Korea.
Her 2026 world tour will officially begin on April 6 in Rome, Italy, continuing across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
Recognized for her exceptional artistry, Jia Li has been invited as a juror of the Swiss International Music Competition and is Lifetime Jury Member and Artistic Director of the Eurasia Grand Prix International Music Competition. She has also served on the jury of the 21st Luigi Zanuccoli International Competition in Italy. Her performances have been featured in international media including VERVE Magazine, Red Carpet Magazine, LIVE STYLE Magazine, MUSICA INTORNO Magazine, Agenzia Stampa, Wikitesti, Scrigno di Pandora, Il Mattino, Brainstorming Culturale, Mezzogiorno Editori, and Spain’s Polimusica.
She graduated from the State Conservatory of Padua, Italy, studying with Professor Dario Marini and later with Maestro Cristiano Burato, recipient of the Italian President’s highest artistic honor, the Medal of Honor of the Italian Republic. She has won numerous international competitions, including the Franz Liszt International Piano Competition, Moscow International Music Competition, and La Palma D’Oro International Piano Competition in Italy.
